The primary role of our CFRs is saving lives by delivering prompt pre-hospital emergency care, but that’s not all we do.

We’re also trained to deal with other kinds of medical emergencies and are often assigned to varying 999 calls. Examples of such calls could be;

– A person CHOKING

– Someone suffering a MAJOR BLEED

– Someone experiencing CHEST PAIN

– A diabetic person suffering a DIABETIC EMERGENCY

– Someone suffering TRAUMA (falls / broken bones / large cuts)

Where are MER Community First Responders based?

Our office is based at Coleshill Fire Station, and we have a number of responders within Coleshill. We also have CFRs in Nuneaton and around North Warwickshire and are we are keen to take on more recruits.

We have a dedicated response car based in Coleshill and respond to incidents in Atherstone, Bedworth, Birmingham, Coleshill, Coventry, Kingsbury, Nuneaton and around the villages of North Warwickshire.

Midlands Emergency Response is a financially self-supporting CFR scheme.

We rely on generous donations from the residents and businesses in the local community to help us carry on saving lives.

West Midlands Ambulance Service provide us with support and training but we need donations to provide new kit, uniforms and equipment.

Your donation, no matter how big or small, goes a long way and helps us to continue our work.
