We're raising money for a Community First Responder car and need your help.
After two years of having a dedicated Fiat 500X response car for Nuneaton, donated by Research Garage, the garage have sadly had to withdraw their support and have taken the car back.
The distinctive car was well known in Nuneaton and around Warwickshire and helped our award-winning Community First Responder Jean Harris rack up over 2500 hours volunteering, reaching over 700 patients. The car helped to raise the profile of our charity and we are now looking to raise enough money to buy a reliable car to respond in.
The charity currently has a Peugeot response vehicle based in Coleshill and hope to be able to purchase a vehicle to be based in Nuneaton as a replacement for the Fiat 500X.
Our aim is to purchase an ex ambulance service rapid response vehicle as these vehicles are already in-service, well maintained and are ready to go once the livery has been updated.
A used Skoda Scout Estate RRV will cost us around £5000-£6000 plus around £800-£1000 to update the livery (change of colours and add the words 'Community First Responder') plus around £700 for one year's insurance.
We are extremely grateful to have received a generous donation of £2000 from a local resident Annette Thompson towards the purchase of the vehicle.
Annette owns Wag Pals Ltd, a doggy day care, dog walking, and pet feeding business based in Nuneaton. Annette gave us the money to enable us to purchase a used vehicle outright for £2000 but on inspection the vehicle was unfortunately not in the condition we had hoped for and could have cost us a small fortune to bring it to the required standard and keep it on the road.
Please help us to continue responding by making a donation, no matter how big or how small.
Thank you for your continued support.
